Most of what sails from this island heads for the same place. Isla de Lobos is a small volcanic island two kilometres off Corralejo, protected as a natural park and close enough that the crossing takes a quarter of an hour. What changes from one trip to the next is the boat, how long you get ashore and what is waiting for you on board.
The Lobos ferry is the plain crossing from Corralejo, fifteen minutes each way, three sailings a day, and you choose which one to come back on. Going ashore needs the free park permit, which you request yourself before the day you travel; the ferry page explains where.
The catamarans turn the same island into a day out. The Oby Freebird sails for four hours and puts you on Lobos by zodiac for about an hour. The Oby Catamaran keeps to twenty-one people and carries snorkelling gear, a paddle board and a kayak. The Oby Luxury is the adults-only one, on a Bali 4.2, with canapés before the paella. All three include paella and drinks, and all three can pick you up by coach from Caleta de Fuste, El Cotillo, Lajares and Corralejo on set days.
Celia Cruz whale watching goes out from Corralejo on Tuesdays and Thursdays for two hours, on a glass-bottom catamaran.
Shorter still: the mini cruise is an hour and a quarter with sixteen underwater windows, a drink and snorkel gear, and the glass bottom boat at Caleta de Fuste is thirty minutes and you stay dry, which works with small children.
Two trips leave from the marina at Caleta de Fuste, on the east coast. The Obycat Experience sails four hours down to Pozo Negro and anchors there for swimming and snorkelling, with paella and drinks on board. The glass bottom boat leaves from the same quay.
The ferry from Corralejo to Playa Blanca, in the south of Lanzarote, takes about half an hour and sails five times a day, with a coach option from Corralejo and Caleta de Fuste on set days. Over there, the Papagayo mini cruise has an option that starts with the ferry from Corralejo, and the Lanzarote volcano tour makes a guided day of Timanfaya. Take your passport for the crossing.
Staying in Corralejo puts you next to everything that goes to Lobos. From Caleta de Fuste, either sail from your own marina or take one of the coach options that brings you north. Corralejo is also the port for the ferry to Lanzarote.
Several of these sail on fixed days, and the coach options run on their own timetable, so check the day before you plan around it. Every booking comes with our Best Price Guarantee. Not sure which boat suits your group? Message us with your dates and ages.
