Full description
The Oby Luxury catamaran
A Bali 4.2, thirteen metres, 21 passengers, adults only from 16. That last part is the point: everything else sailing off this coast takes families, and this one deliberately does not.
Four hours in the morning, 10:00 to 14:00, out towards Isla de Lobos to anchor in the clear water off the islet. Snorkelling, kayak and stand up paddle from the boat, and wetsuits if you want one.
On board
The hull is the reason to book it. The Bali 4.2 carries its lounging areas on the flybridge and a rigid forward cockpit instead of nets, so there is a lot more usable deck than the size suggests.
Canapes to start, then paella, salad and a fruit skewer. Drinks run the whole trip: beer, cava, wine, mojito, soft drinks and water.
The price
85 euros a head, and it is the same figure whether you are collected in Caleta de Fuste, El Cotillo, Origomare, Lajares or Corralejo. The zones run on set days, so where you are staying decides which mornings are available.

Thirteen of us went over to Lobos and it worked from beginning to end. We were lucky enough to be moved up to the luxury boat, which is a beautiful thing, but the crew were what made it: friendly, attentive, and they could not have done more for our group.
For getting from Corralejo over to Lobos there is nothing better: the experience was fantastic, the crew went out of their way for us and the paella served on board was really good.
Per andare da Corralejo a Lobos non c'è niente di meglio: l'esperienza è stata fantastica, l'equipaggio si è fatto in quattro per noi e la paella servita a bordo era davvero buona.
Ricci, Georgi and Alejandro look after you and never stop smiling, which changes everything. The boat is big enough for its twenty-one passengers to spread out and lie down, the food is good and you drink what you like. The best thing we did on Fuerteventura, no question.
Our pickup ran late, which I imagine was down to other passengers rather than them. The boat itself was superb and the food once we were back on board just as good, the stop at Lobos was great, and the choppy sail home was huge fun, closer to a fairground ride. Worth paying for the luxury option.
Utterly relaxed from the moment we boarded the luxury catamaran, with good food, plenty to drink and staff who were on it. The best excursion we have taken on any holiday, and that is not a claim I make often.
The boat was in very good shape and the food did its job, but what stood out was how we were treated. One of the crew, from Tenerife, could not have been more attentive, and since we were the only Spanish speakers aboard he spent much of the crossing chatting with us.
Only four of us were aboard that day, on what must be the most luxurious boat around. Lovely crew, good food, as much to drink as you wanted, dolphins sighted and time in the water. Every penny of it was worth it, and my compliments go to the crew.
