Full description
Lanzarote's volcanoes, from Fuerteventura
Lanzarote is half an hour from Fuerteventura by ferry. This guided day crosses from Corralejo to see Timanfaya and its volcanoes, the vineyards of La Geria, the aloe vera museum and the south coast, with the entry tickets, the ferry and the coach from your hotel included. It runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The crossing
The coach collects you between 8:30 and 10:00 in Corralejo or Caleta de Fuste and takes you to the port of Corralejo. The ferry leaves at 10:30 and reaches Playa Blanca, in the south of Lanzarote, in about 30 minutes.
Timanfaya and La Geria
The coach heads first for Timanfaya National Park and a guided visit of the Montañas del Fuego, a lunar landscape of volcanoes and lava. Then La Geria, where the vines grow in cones of volcanic ash, for a taste of malvasía wine.
Aloe vera and the south coast
At the aloe vera museum you learn how the plant is grown and used. The route then runs down the south coast to the Lago Verde, a green lagoon under the cliffs, and the lava coast of Los Hervideros.
The ferry leaves Playa Blanca at 16:30, and the coach takes you back to your pick-up point from 17:00.
