Full description

Discover Fuerteventura

The island end to end in a day, Wednesdays and Fridays, roughly 9:00 to 17:00, leaving from Caleta de Fuste. Transfer and lunch are included and it costs 69 euros for adults, 38 for children from 3 to 11, free under 3.

What you see

It starts on the east coast at the Entallada lighthouse, on the cliffs, then crosses to the west for Ajuy: a beach of black volcanic sand with sea caves cut into the rock above it. That is the longest stop of the day, an hour.

Inland after that: the Mirador de las Penitas, then Betancuria, the island's old capital, where the traditional Canarian architecture and the historic quarter are the reason to stop. Then the Mirador Guise y Ayose looking back down the valley, and lunch in Casillas: chicken, papas arrugadas, dessert and a drink.

The last stop is the far north, the Corralejo dunes, a natural park of white sand running straight into the sea, before the drive back down the island.

Worth knowing

It is a long day, and by design most of the stops are short. Ajuy and lunch are the two where you get an hour. Everything else is 10 to 40 minutes, because the aim is to cross the whole island rather than settle into one corner of it.
