Teguise market and La Graciosa in one Sunday

Teguise market on a Sunday morning, then La Graciosa, the small island off the northern tip of Lanzarote, for a paella lunch and free time. A coach collects you from your hotel, takes you to the ferry and brings you back, and the crossing is included.

Teguise market

Every Sunday the streets and squares of Teguise, the old capital of Lanzarote, fill with stalls. You have two hours there: crafts, ceramics, basketwork and leather goods, cheese and wine, products made with cactus and aloe, and local artists selling their work.

La Graciosa

From Teguise the coach heads north to Órzola, and the ferry crosses to La Graciosa in about 25 minutes, with the cliffs of the north coast behind you. In Caleta de Sebo the guide shows you the old church and the Aloe Vera Museum. Lunch is at 14:00, starting with a glass of champagne: salad, paella with seafood and chicken, and fruit, with wine, beer, soft drinks and water. Afterwards there is an hour and a half free, for the beaches or a walk through the sand streets of the village, before the ferry back at 16:30.

Worth knowing

The vegetarian or seafood-free lunch is pasta with tomato sauce: ask for it when you book. Bring swimwear and a towel if you want a swim on La Graciosa, and something warm in winter for the ferry. Children aged 4 to 12 pay a reduced fare.
