Full description
La Graciosa by ferry and catamaran
A day on La Graciosa, the small island off the northern tip of Lanzarote: the ferry from Órzola, an hour in the village of Caleta de Sebo, then a catamaran to anchor off Playa Francesa, with paella made on board and an open bar.
The morning
With pick-up, a coach collects you from 8:30 and drives you to Órzola. The ferry leaves at 11:00 and crosses in about 25 minutes. You have an hour in Caleta de Sebo, the island's village, with its white houses and streets of sand.
On the catamaran
At 12:30 you board the catamaran, where a mojito and a tapa of papas arrugadas with mojo are waiting. It sails along the south coast of La Graciosa towards Montaña Amarilla and anchors off Playa Francesa, in the marine reserve around the island. Kayaks and snorkelling gear are on board, and you swim from the boat, which does not land on the beach.
Lunch is at 14:15: paella or pasta with fresh fruit, and beer, sangria, water and soft drinks are included for the whole time on board.
Back to Lanzarote
The catamaran takes you back to the quay in Caleta de Sebo, and the ferry leaves for Órzola at 16:00. With pick-up, the coach takes you back to your hotel.
Worth knowing
The trip is sold as I Love La Graciosa. Carry your passport or ID card for the ferry. Pick-up cannot be guaranteed for bookings made less than 24 hours ahead: book the option without it and meet the ferry in Órzola.
