Private boat trip in Gran Canaria from Arguineguín

A private boat trip in Gran Canaria for up to six guests: three hours out of the port of Arguineguín, with the whole boat for your group and a local skipper at the helm. The route follows the coast south-west, past sea caves and volcanic rock, with stops to snorkel and swim. You can go by day or take the sunset trip, which sails in the last hours of the light.

The route

Out of the port the boat heads south-west along the coast. It passes sea caves, lava formations, cliffs and beaches, and stops to swim and float, one of them at a cove with no way down from land. There is a snorkel stop in clear water, and at some point the skipper takes the boat out to open water and cuts the engines, so you can drift for a while with nothing but the sea around you.

Daytime or sunset

Both trips last three hours and follow the same coast. The sunset trip leaves later, as the sun goes down over the horizon. There is less boat traffic at that hour, the low light turns the cliffs and the water a different colour, and there is cava or white wine on board.

Snorkelling

The snorkel gear is on board, and nobody needs experience to use it. The masks let you talk to each other underwater.

The boat

The boat is a Tiger Marine Pro Line 7.40, a 7.4-metre RIB built in 2025, with a 200 HP Suzuki outboard, a shade top and padded sunbeds. It is licensed for twelve, but it never takes more than six guests. The trip is private, so the price is for the boat, the same for two guests or six.

Food and drinks

There are drinks and Mediterranean snacks on both trips, and the sunset trip adds cava or white wine.

Where you board
