Full description
Jet ski safari from Mogán or Taurito
One hour, one guided safari, and two beaches it leaves from: Playa de Mogán and Playa de Taurito, both on the south-west coast of Gran Canaria. You pick the one that suits where you are staying and the ride is the same either way. You drive your own machine with a licensed guide leading the group, no licence needed, and it opens with a safety briefing on the beach.
The route
The route heads out below the mountains of Mogán and follows the coast towards Tasartico and Playa de Tasarte when the sea allows it. It is a full coastal safari for the hour. On good days you can see sea caves, volcanic cliffs, turtles and flying fish. Dolphins are sometimes seen in this area too, although wildlife is never guaranteed.
Mogán or Taurito
You choose the departure point when booking. Playa de Mogán works well if you are staying around Puerto de Mogán or the south-west marinas. Taurito is the easier option for hotels in Taurito, Playa del Cura and nearby resorts.
Who can drive
You ride alone from 18. At 16 or 17 an adult has to be on the jet ski with you, plus written authorisation from a parent or guardian and that person's ID. The jet ski can be ridden solo or shared with one passenger, subject to the operator's safety limits on the day.
What is included
The price covers the jet ski for one hour, a licensed guide, insurance, life jacket, safety briefing and free lockers for your belongings. Photos and videos can usually be bought after the activity if you want them.

A nice trip out, and the jet ski riding was good fun. Not much more to say than that we enjoyed ourselves.
Fantastic experience on the jet skis, and every one of the staff was friendly with us. I would recommend it to anyone.
Great sunny day, and the people running it were good with us. We had a ride on the jet skis and enjoyed it, so thanks to them.
Domingo and the crew are what made this one. The jet ski part was amazing and I would absolutely recommend it to someone else.
What a legend Domingo is. He entertains as much as he guides, and he will have you dancing once the jet skiing is done. Amazing experience.
I have ridden jet skis in a few places around the islands and this one sits near the top of my list. The water was choppy but that took nothing away from it, and the instructor was there whenever we needed him. Recommended.
Just off the jet ski safari and I would recommend it without reservation. Our guide took us past the lighthouse, the dunes and the volcanic caves, and we stopped for a swim that was wonderfully refreshing. He took photos along the way as well, so we have something to look back on.
My girlfriend and I had an amazing tour. The guide was funny and full of information, helpful with it, and neither of us will forget the ride.
