Shows Sala Scala, San Agustín
Nomad is the evening we book in Gran Canaria. It runs at Sala Scala in Playa de San Agustín, Thursday to Sunday at 20:00, and lasts about three hours and a quarter.
The show is told entirely through music, dance and acrobatics, and it follows the cultural fusion between Europe, Africa and America across four parts. The tasting menu follows the same journey: the starter is Europe, the main is Africa, the dessert is America. There are vegan, gluten-free and children's versions of it.
Sala Scala holds more than seven hundred people. It spent years as one of the best known night venues on the island, closed, and was rebuilt from the inside for this production, with a stage, an LED wall and tables around the floor.
Solo Show is the show without dinner. General, Premium and VIP all include the tasting menu and differ in where you sit: a standard table, a preferred zone, or the sofas in the best zone. The tier buys a zone of the room, and tables are shared, most of them seating six or eight. Say so when you book if two reservations want to sit together.
Drinks are ordered at the venue, either as a package or from the list, and if one person at the table takes a package everyone does. Doors open an hour before the show and it is worth being in your seat half an hour early so dinner service starts on time. Once a booking is confirmed there are no date changes and no refunds, which is the venue's own condition on every sales channel.
Sala Scala has no car park of its own, though there is public parking around it. The venue runs a transfer to every show, at extra cost, from Las Palmas and Puerto de Mogán, and they call the day before with the pick-up time.
