The Because is a Saxdor 400, a modern outboard day yacht running four-hour private charters from Anfi del Mar, on the south coast of Gran Canaria, for up to ten guests. The boat is yours for those four hours: no other group, no shared timetable, and a rate that covers the whole charter rather than a seat, so the cost per head falls the more of you there are.

What the four hours look like

The boat leaves at 11:00, every day. There is a cava cocktail and a snack waiting as you step aboard, and then the boat works its way along the coast with a stop to get in the water. Snorkelling gear and a paddleboard are on board, and water sports can be added at a reduced rate.

What is on board

A tapas tray and something sweet are served during the charter, with beer and sangria, and soft drinks, coffee and water without limit. It is enough food to make the four hours comfortable without turning the trip into a lunch.

Where it leaves from

Departures are usually from Anfi del Mar, and on some dates from Puerto Rico instead; yours is confirmed with your booking. Transfer from the south of the island is included, arranged when you book. Arrive about 15 minutes before your agreed time.

Who it is for

Ten guests is the right size for a family, a group of friends or a small celebration, and the private format means the day runs at your pace rather than a timetable's. Children are welcome with an adult. Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and a hat.

Booking and cancellation

Confirmation is digital, so your booking can be shown on your phone. You can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before departure; inside 48 hours there is no refund. If the sea is unsafe on the day, you can move to another date or take a full refund.
