Nomad Dinner Show: dinner and spectacle at Sala Scala

Nomad is a dinner show in Gran Canaria, staged at Sala Scala in Playa de San Agustín. It runs Thursday to Sunday, starts at 20:00 and lasts about 3 hours and 15 minutes. The show is built in four parts and follows the cultural fusion between Europe, Africa and America, told through music, dance and acrobatics rather than dialogue.

The room

Sala Scala holds more than 700 people. Two decades ago it was one of the best-known night venues on the island; it closed, and it has since been rebuilt from the inside out for this production, with a stage, an LED wall and the audience seated at tables around it. There is also an amphitheatre level above the floor.

The menu follows the show

This is the part that makes the evening hang together. The tasting menu is written around the same journey as the show: the starter is Europe, the main is Africa, and the dessert is America. It opens with a Canarian burrata and the bread is pan de puño de millo.

There is a full vegan menu built on Canarian cooking, a children's menu, and a gluten-free option. The tasting menu is included in the General, Premium and VIP tiers.

Where you sit

Four tiers. Solo Show is the show without dinner, seated in the sides or the amphitheatre depending on how full the room is. General is a standard table, Premium a table in a preferred zone, and VIP the best zone with exclusive sofas. The tier buys you a zone, not a specific table, and tables are shared: most seat six or eight. Separate bookings can be seated together if you say so when you book.

Drinks

Drinks are not part of the ticket and we do not sell them: you take a drinks package or order from the wine and cocktail list at the venue. There is also a cocktail pairing of three signature drinks built around Europe, Africa and America. One rule worth knowing: if one person at your table takes a package, everyone in the party takes it.

Getting there

Sala Scala is at Las Retamas 3, Playa de San Agustín. There is no private car park, but there is public parking nearby. The venue runs a transfer for every show at an extra cost, covering Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Puerto de Mogán; they call the day before to confirm the exact pick-up time. The transfer is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility, and inside the building the wheelchair lift reaches the amphitheatre only, so tell them in advance if you need it.

Booking and cancellation

Doors open an hour before the show and it is worth being there 30 minutes early so dinner service starts on time. Tickets for the same night can be bought at the box office if any are left, in cash or by card. Check the date before you pay. Once the booking is confirmed there are no date changes, no cancellations, no refunds and no credit for another night. The same conditions apply as on SCALA's own sales channels.
