Full description
Dolphin watching from Pasito Blanco, eight guests at most
Dolphin watching in Gran Canaria on Senda del Azul, an 11-metre boat converted to a hybrid with two electric motors, from Pasito Blanco harbour in the south of the island. It runs quietly, the animals are watched calmly and never chased, and a shared trip carries eight guests at most.
Three hours with the dolphins
Trips leave in the morning and the afternoon and last three hours. The waters south of Gran Canaria are home to bottlenose, Atlantic spotted, common, Risso's and striped dolphins, and to short-finned pilot whales. The crew explain each species and how it behaves as you go.
On board
Drinks and snacks are included on every trip. With eight guests at most, everyone gets a place to watch from.
Getting there
Pasito Blanco is a small harbour between Arguineguín and Maspalomas. Meet at mooring R04 on the Ribera pontoon, 15 minutes before departure. Bring sun cream, a hat and something warm: out at sea it feels colder than on land.
There is no minimum age, and children pay reduced fares. To have the boat to yourselves, see private dolphin watching.
