Full description

Private Sunseeker charter in Tenerife from Puerto Colón

The Vulcano is a Sunseeker Camargue 44 that runs private charters out of Puerto Colón, in Costa Adeje. The boat takes up to eight guests, and it is never shared: the price is for the whole boat, so a group of eight pays the same as a couple. Charters run from three hours to a full eight-hour day, and the departure time is agreed with you rather than set by a timetable.

Who takes you out

There are two crew on board, Charlotte and the owner, who run every charter themselves. Between them they work in English, Spanish, French and Italian. Because the same people are on every trip, the plan for the day is a conversation rather than a fixed route: where you go depends on the sea, the season and what your group wants from the day.

What the price covers

Everything that makes the boat move is included: fuel, insurance, the boat itself and the crew. Drinks and snacks are on board throughout. There is also an extras menu if you want to add catering, which you can arrange with the crew when you book.

Where you go

Shorter charters stay along the Costa Adeje coast, where the water is calm and the swimming stops are close. With four or five hours you can push further west; with six or eight you can reach the cliffs of Los Gigantes, which drop straight into the sea and are best seen from the water. The crew will tell you honestly what is realistic in the time you book.

Booking and cancellation

Confirmation is digital, so your booking can be shown on your phone. You can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the charter. Late cancellations are subject to a fee. If the sea is unsuitable on the day, you can reschedule or take a full refund.

The Barco Azul flag

Barco Azul is the licence the Canary Islands government issues for whale and dolphin watching. The boats that hold it fly this flag, and only they may go out to where the resident pods live and approach them.

Thanks to Charlotte and Miguel for a day I will remember. Watching whales where they belong, from a yacht that comfortable, is hard to beat, and the Canarian food they served was delicious. I would send anyone their way for a day at sea.

Thank you for the day: patient guides who are good with children, whales for my kids, a swim along the coast and a beautiful sunset to finish. Anyone who felt seasick was looked after with real care. What you get here is not only the scenery but genuine warmth, and the food is excellent as well.

Jul 2025

The little boat is spotless and comfortable, and Charlotte and Miguel are good company as well as being well read on marine life and the islands. We went out in the morning and saw whale after whale, then a generous spread of tapas to finish. I cannot praise the trip enough.

May 2025

We could not have chosen better. Miguel and Charlotte are charming and attentive, and their enthusiasm shows: they explain everything clearly and with real respect for the animals and their surroundings. We would do it again without a second thought.

An unforgettable day, and the attention you get is personal. The children had a wonderful time, and we saw dolphins, turtles and whales. We will certainly be back.

Charlotte and Miguel are very welcoming hosts: a fine day out, no shortage of explanations and even some good restaurant tips. The boat is clean and roomy, and the meal made from local produce was well done. Thanks from our group of Normans.

A lovely trip out, with an aperitif on board and first-rate sightings of dolphins and whales. The staff are warm and easy-going, and there is a pause to swim in beautiful water. We would go again.
