Private boat charter in Tenerife with tapas and drinks

Libby's is a Rio 850 Cruiser, a 30-foot twin-engine boat running private charters from Puerto Colón in Costa Adeje. It takes up to eight guests and is never shared: the price covers the boat, so the cost per head falls the more of you there are.

How long you can book it for

Charters run by the hour, from a minimum of two hours up to a full twelve-hour day. Two hours is enough for a run along the Costa Adeje coast and a swim stop, or a sunset out and back. Longer charters give you time to reach the quieter bays and to spend real time in the water rather than watching the clock.

What is on board

Tapas-style food is included, with soft drinks, beer, wine and water throughout. Snorkelling gear is on board for the swim stops. The boat has two cabins, a private toilet and a freshwater shower, plus sun pads on the bow, which is more comfort than a boat this size usually offers.

Who takes you out

The captain comes with the boat, so nobody in your group needs a licence or any experience. You agree the departure time when you book rather than fitting into a fixed timetable.

Departure and getting there

The boat is on pontoon 3 at Puerto Colón, Costa Adeje. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your agreed time, and note that parking is available at the port.

Confirmation is digital, so your booking can be shown on your phone. You can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before. Late cancellations are subject to a fee, and if the sea is unsuitable you can reschedule or take a full refund.

Not like anything else we have done. Samuel is a superb host, the food and drinks were good, and if you are after a fine time at sea with dolphins thrown in, this is the one.

Captain Billy took us out and we had a brilliant time. Plenty of wildlife about, a swim with the snorkel, and beer, wine and tapas once we were back aboard. I would recommend it.

The owner is great and so is his boat, and he has his own quiet spots for finding dolphins and swimming. We put music on together and drinks were handed round as we sailed. I would recommend this trip to anybody.
