East Coast Safari
20‑Minute Ride
Four marinas, four different days on the water. The list above has them all, and this is how to tell them apart.
The Puerto Colón safari is the easiest departure if you are staying around Fañabé, Torviscas or Playa de las Américas, and it has the widest choice of lengths: forty minutes up to three hours.
The Marina del Sur safari is the one that comes and gets you. Hotel pickup is included from most of the south, and it runs one-hour and two-hour rides.
The cliffs safari is the one you book for the view: an hour along the foot of cliffs that drop close to 600 metres into the water, towards Punta de Teno.
Radazul sits on the east coast, which saves anyone staying near Santa Cruz, La Laguna or Candelaria the drive south. Four rides, from half an hour in the bay to eighty minutes down to Güímar.
The circuit runs in the water off Puerto Colón, between the marina and Playa Fañabé. Twenty minutes in a marked area, which is enough to find out how a jet ski handles before booking a safari.
All five are guided and no licence is needed. Every ride opens with a safety briefing before you go on the water. The price is per jet ski, and each machine carries a driver and one passenger.
You ride alone from 18. At 16 or 17 you can drive with an adult on the jet ski and a parent's signed consent. Passengers ride from seven, accompanied by an adult, and should be able to swim. The activity does not suit pregnancy or anyone not physically up to it.
