Tenerife Island VIP Tour: a full loop by minivan

This VIP Tour is a full-day loop of Tenerife in a small group, travelling in an air-conditioned minivan with four-wheel drive. Up to 8 people travel per minivan, as part of a small convoy with an experienced multilingual driver. The day covers the west, north and centre of the island, and lasts about 9 hours.

What you see on the tour

The route runs through Guia de Isora and Santiago del Teide to the mountain village of Masca, then along the north coast through Buenavista del Norte, Los Silos and a banana plantation to the historic town of Garachico. From there it continues to Icod de los Vinos, home to the ancient dragon tree El Drago, and on to San Juan de la Rambla and La Orotava, where the group stops for lunch. The return leg climbs into Teide National Park, taking in the Roques de Garcia and the Mirador Rosa de Piedra before heading back down through Vilaflor.

How the day runs

The tour runs Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, from 09:00 to 18:00. Guides work in Spanish, English, German, French, Italian and Dutch.

Free hotel pick-up and drop-off is included from your accommodation or a nearby point in Puerto de la Cruz or Playa de las Americas, and you choose your pick-up location during booking. Parts of the route reach high altitude near Teide, where it is cooler than at the coast, so bring a jacket or layers, along with comfortable shoes, a hat, sunscreen and water.
