A guided bus tour of north Tenerife: Santa Cruz, Taganana and La Laguna

The North Tenerife Guided Bus Tour is a full-day trip through the quieter, greener side of the island. You travel by comfortable bus from the capital of Santa Cruz to the village of Taganana in the Anaga hills, then on to the historic city of La Laguna. The tour runs on Mondays and Thursdays, lasts about 8 hours and starts around 08:00. A guide shares the history and stories along the way in English, Spanish, German and French.

What you see on the tour

The day starts in Santa Cruz, where you explore the capital's old town and its streets. From there the route passes the golden sands of Playa de las Teresitas (a photo stop from the bus, not a beach stop) and crosses the Anaga hills through Monte de las Mercedes. You stop in Taganana, a small Canarian village, for a lunch break. The tour finishes in La Laguna, the island's old university city and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

What is included

The price covers hotel pickup and drop-off, the bus ride across the north, and a guide. Lunch is not included: you choose from local restaurants in Taganana and pay on the day. The tour has plenty of time to walk, eat and take photos at each stop.

Booking and cancellation

Booking ahead secures your place, and discounts are available for group bookings. Individual bookings can cancel free up to 24 hours before the tour for a full refund.
