A guided bus tour of Teide in Tenerife

The Teide guided bus tour is a half-day trip into Teide National Park, home to the highest peak in Spain. You travel by comfortable coach with free hotel pickup and drop-off, and a guide explains the park's geology and landscape at each stop in English, Spanish, German and French. The whole tour takes around 7 hours and runs on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

What you see on the tour

The route takes in three main stops. In Teide National Park you see the volcanic formations, ancient lava flows and the Teide peak itself. You also stop in Vilaflor, the highest village in the Canary Islands, and one of the highest in Spain, set among pine forest. The other stop is at the Roques de García, a cluster of rock formations inside the UNESCO-listed park. There is a scheduled lunch break along the way, with dining options nearby.

What is included

The price covers return coach travel with hotel pickup and drop-off, plus a guide for the full day. The cable car ride to the summit is optional and is paid separately on the day, so it is not part of the tour price. Lunch and other meals are not included.

Pickup and getting there

Pickup is direct from your hotel, and you choose your pick-up point during booking. Make sure your hotel details are correct so the pickup runs smoothly. The coach does not have on-board toilet facilities and is not set up for wheelchair access. It is worth bringing warm layers, since the mountains are cooler than the coast.

Booking and cancellation

Prices start at €39. If you find it cheaper elsewhere, our price match policy applies. Individuals and small groups can cancel free up to 24 hours before the tour for a full refund.
