A full-day Gran Canaria tour from Tenerife, with Poema del Mar
This Gran Canaria day tour starts in Tenerife and takes you across to the neighbouring island for the day. You travel by Fred Olsen ferry from Santa Cruz de Tenerife to Agaete, then visit the Poema del Mar aquarium, the Arehucas rum distillery and the historic Vegueta district of Las Palmas. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, and the tour runs every Friday.
What the day looks like
Pickup is from your hotel in Tenerife at around 08:00, then you board the ferry across to Agaete. The day takes in three main stops: the Arehucas distillery, the Poema del Mar aquarium and a guided walk through Vegueta. You are dropped back at your hotel at around 20:30. In total it is a full day of roughly 12 hours.
What's included
The price covers hotel pickup and drop-off, the return Fred Olsen ferry, entry to the Poema del Mar aquarium, a guided visit to the Arehucas distillery with a tasting, and a guided walking tour of Vegueta. Meals and drinks are not included, so you can eat where you like during the day.
The three main stops
At the Arehucas distillery you tour one of the oldest rum cellars in Europe and try a tasting. Poema del Mar in Las Palmas holds one of the largest curved viewing panels in the world, with a wide range of marine life on show. The day finishes with a guided stroll through Vegueta, the old town of Las Palmas, known for its historic streets and architecture.

Just did this tour from Tenerife to Gran Canaria, it was fun. The best part was checking out the distillery and trying the rum, felt like a real taste of the place. The old town walk was nice too.
Loved the ferry ride between islands, felt like a proper adventure. Gran Canaria has such different vibes from Tenerife. Good mix of stuff to do and the pickup made it super easy.
The aquarium was sick, the huge window is crazy 🐠 The rest of the tour was pretty cool too, got to see a lot.
