Private charter on the Royal Boat

The Luhrs 32 and its skipper, hired whole, out of Puerto Colón. 500 euros buys three hours and 1.000 buys six, and that is the price of the boat rather than a seat on it: two guests or eight costs the same. Add 7% tax to both figures.

The run goes out towards deep water off the south coast of Tenerife and stops at a hidden beach you cannot walk to, which is where the swimming, the sunbathing and most of the afternoon happen.

On board

A cushioned solarium on the bow, which is where a three-hour charter actually gets spent, and a cabin below with a bed, a sofa, a toilet and a small galley. Twin 380 hp Yanmars, so getting to the good water does not eat the charter.

Snacks and drinks are included on the three-hour trip and a brunchbox on the six-hour one. An extra hour on the short charter is 180 euros.

The same boat, without the rods

This is the same Luhrs 32 that runs the Royal Sport Fishing charter, sailing without the tackle. If what you want is the outriggers out and a fighting chair, book that one instead. And it is not the Royal Ocean yacht, which is a different and larger boat.
