Jet ski from Puerto Deportivo Radazul

Radazul is on the east coast, which is the point of it. Almost every water sport in Tenerife leaves from the south; this one rides a stretch of coast most visitors never see, and it saves anyone staying around Santa Cruz, La Laguna or Candelaria the drive across the island.

Four rides, and two of them leave the bay

Thirty minutes or an hour in Radazul bay, or a forty-minute run to Candelaria and an eighty-minute one to Güímar. The bay options are contained and shorter, which is why this is a good place to ride one for the first time. The Candelaria and Güímar routes depend on the sea that day.

Riding it

No licence. Every activity starts with a navigation and safety briefing: the rules, the riding area, and how to follow the instructor.

You ride alone from 18. At 16 or 17 you can drive with an adult on the back and a parent's signed consent. Passengers from seven, with an adult.

Be at the marina about thirty minutes before your time.
