Parasailing in Tenerife: a towed flight over Costa Adeje

Parasailing in Tenerife takes off from Puerto Colón in Costa Adeje and lifts you above the water on a parasail towed by the boat. You get a clear view over Puerto Colón and Playa de Las Américas while you are up. It suits first-timers and families: you take off and land on the boat, so you do not need to be able to swim, and flights run every day, throughout the day.

What the flight is like

After a short briefing on the boat, you are clipped into the harness and the boat speeds up to lift you into the air. You spend about 10 minutes airborne, with the whole trip taking around 40 minutes including the boat travel out and back. The landing sometimes skims the water before you come back down to the boat, so expect to get a little wet.

Flying solo or with others

Who can take part

Parasailing here is open to most people and is suitable for ages 3 and up. You do not need swimming skills, since takeoff and landing happen on the boat. It is not recommended during pregnancy. Bring swimwear, a towel and sunscreen, and keep any camera or phone secured if you take it up with you.
