Teide and Masca jeep tour: a guided 4x4 day across Tenerife
This jeep tour takes you across two of the most distinctive parts of Tenerife in one day: Teide National Park and the mountain village of Masca. You travel in an all-terrain 4x4 with an experienced multilingual driver, along winding mountain roads and rugged tracks. It suits families, couples and small groups, with up to 8 people per jeep.
What you see on the tour
Inside Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, you take in Mount Teide itself, the multicoloured crater of Pico Viejo and the Roques de Garcia rock formations. The route also passes Vilaflor, set among pine trees high on the volcano, and the old hamlets of Aripe and Chirche, with architecture dating to the 18th and 19th centuries. The day ends at Masca, one of the most photographed villages on the island.
How the day runs
The tour lasts about 7 hours, from 09:00 to 16:00, and runs Monday to Saturday. You travel in a 4x4 jeep as part of a small convoy, with the driver guiding the group. Tours are run in Spanish, English, German and French.
Pickup and what to bring
Free hotel pick-up and drop-off is included from your accommodation or a nearby point, and you choose your pick-up location during booking. Parts of the route reach high altitude near the summit, where it is cooler than at the coast, so bring a jacket or layers, along with comfortable shoes, sunscreen and water.

Did the jeep safari to Teide and Masca yesterday, man it was cool driving through those twisty roads and seeing the old villages up close. The scenery in the park is just nice, totally enjoyed it.
