Paragliding in Tenerife: tandem flights over the south coast

Tandem paragliding in Tenerife lets you fly over the island's ravines, mountains and coastline with a qualified pilot doing the work. No experience is needed: the pilot handles take-off, the flight and the landing, and you get a short briefing before you go up. There are four flights to choose from, with flight times of 15 to 45 minutes, so you can match the trip to your nerve and your budget.

Choosing your flight

The shorter flights take off from 800 to 1100 metres above La Quinta, Fañabé and Adeje and usually land at La Enramada beach in La Caleta. The flight itself lasts 15 to 30 minutes, with the full activity taking up to 2 hours. The longest option launches from 2200 metres and includes a short run near Teide National Park, with a flight time of 40 to 45 minutes and a full activity of up to 4 hours. What is included

Your booking covers the tandem flight with a qualified pilot, all the flight equipment and a pre-flight briefing. Free hotel pick-up and drop-off is included across the south of the island, and you choose your pick-up point during booking. Photos and videos are optional and arranged on the day.

Who can fly and what to wear

Flights are suitable for ages 8 to 80 for anyone weighing 40 kg to 100 kg, with exceptions sometimes possible on request. Paragliding is not advised during pregnancy or with certain medical conditions, so check first if you are unsure. Wear comfortable shoes and layered clothing, and bring sun protection.

Booking and cancellation

You pick your time slot when you book, with morning and afternoon flights available. You can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before your flight. The pilot decides on the day, and if he calls it off you can move to another date.
