The medieval dinner show in Tenerife at Castillo San Miguel
The medieval dinner show in Tenerife is an evening of live entertainment and food at Castillo San Miguel. Eight knights and their horses perform in the arena, with jousting, swordplay and horse displays, while you sit down to a three-course dinner. It runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with doors at 18:30 and the show from 19:00 to 21:30. The evening is hosted in English.
What to expect during the evening
You are welcomed by knights in armour on arrival. The show is built around the arena, where eight knights and their steeds take part in jousting and combat displays, and you are encouraged to cheer on your knight as the night goes on. Every seat has a clear view of the action.
The dinner
Dinner is a three-course medieval banquet served at your table during the show, with wine, water and soft drinks included. Vegetarian and children's menus are available on request when you book.

Castillo San Miguel is in San Miguel de Abona, about 20 minutes from Costa Adeje and Playa de las Américas. There is free parking on site. An optional shuttle bus is available, with pickup details confirmed when you book.

There is a standard ticket and a VIP ticket, which adds priority entry, a welcome glass of cava and premium seating. Discounted rates are available for groups, so this works for celebrations or corporate events; you can contact the team at https://canaryvip.com/contact/ to arrange a group or private booking. You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the show.

What a night. I am so pleased we went along, and I would point anyone in its direction; it is genuinely good fun.
Worth the evening if you like horses, and food and drink come with it. The front row with a glass of sparkling wine paid off for us, and parking was free. There were rather too many staged duels for my taste; a few more numbers with the horses would have helped.
Für Pferdefreunde lohnt sich der Abend, Essen und Trinken sind dabei. Die erste Reihe mit einem Glas Sekt hat sich für uns ausgezahlt, parken konnten wir kostenlos. Die gestellten Zweikämpfe waren mir etwas zu viel, ein paar mehr Nummern mit den Pferden hätten gutgetan.
The place has a great feel to it. The show keeps the tension up and the cast play off the audience the whole way through. The food was good too; we would recommend it with or without children.

The riders are the real thing, and you can see the care they take of the horses, not just of the act. Dinner is not the point of the evening, but it was good and fitted the setting, and the table service was warm.
Los jinetes son profesionales de verdad y se les nota el cuidado que tienen con los caballos, no solo con el número. La cena no es lo principal, pero estaba bien y acompaña al ambiente, y en la mesa nos atendieron con mucha amabilidad.
The castle alone is worth seeing, and the knights' show delivers. The staff were pleasant and helpful with us.

As a wheelchair user I am wary of places that claim to be accessible, and this one has it sorted. The food is plain, but the show more than makes up for it. The Duke had me posing for a photo, and by the end the Duchess was in stitches. The horses are clearly adored.
The experience itself was fantastic. Food could have been simpler, since most of it ended up in the bin, while the drinks were fine. The entertainment, on the other hand, was superb, and I would go for the VIP option.

Jousting was promised and duly delivered, along with dressage, falconry and combat, all of it beautifully choreographed and played for laughs so the audience gets drawn in. A three-course meal arrives while it runs, with wine included; we ordered buckets of beer and were too caught up in the action to finish them. Suits any age.
Our three sons have been coming here with us for years and it never lets us down. The show, the staff and the atmosphere are all excellent, and guests get pulled into the action rather than just watching. Meeting the horses is my own favourite part; the boys get their photos with the knights afterwards.
