Skyline Boat Tenerife: a private yacht charter from Costa Adeje
The Skyline Boat Tenerife charter is a 3-hour cruise on a 42-foot Fairline motor yacht with space for up to 12 guests. It leaves from Puerto Colón Marina in Costa Adeje and works well for small groups who want a relaxed day on the water with privacy and shade. You can join a shared tour from 65€ per person, or book the whole boat as a private charter for your group. Snacks, drinks, snorkelling gear and towels are included.
What to expect onboard
The yacht sails about three miles offshore to look for dolphins, whales and other marine life. Between watching the wildlife you can relax in the shaded lounge or sunbathe at the bow. There is a swim and snorkel stop in a calm bay, and the return route passes the hippie caves and volcanic cliffs of the southern coast. Snorkelling gear and towels are provided onboard.
Food and drinks
The charter includes snacks such as Spanish omelette, pizza, sausages, cheese, cherry tomatoes with olive oil and oregano, nuts and fresh seasonal fruit. Drinks include water, soft drinks, beer, wine and cava. Alternative menus can be arranged with advance notice for guests with dietary restrictions or preferences.
Departures and getting there
There are three daily departures: 9:45, 13:15 and 16:20, with the last one running as a sunset tour. Boarding is at Puerto Colón Marina in Costa Adeje, and you should arrive 30 minutes before departure for check-in. You choose your departure time during booking. Who it suits and what to bring
The yacht's limited capacity makes it a good fit for birthdays, anniversaries and small group days out. Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses and a light jacket for cooler days.
Booking and cancellation
You get a full refund if you cancel more than 5 days before departure. Cancelling 3 to 5 days before refunds 50% of the deposit, and under 72 hours the deposit is non-refundable. No-shows and late arrivals are not refunded. If the captain judges the conditions unsafe, you can take a full refund or reschedule.

Barco Azul is the licence the Canary Islands government issues for whale and dolphin watching. The boats that hold it fly this flag, and only they may go out to where the resident pods live and approach them.

We went out looking for cetaceans and it paid off: fin whales, plus a group of around fifteen Atlantic dolphins. Afterwards we pulled into a small cove for a swim, with food and drink included, all of it good and generous. Esperanza and Adriana looked after us the whole way.
Siamo usciti per l'avvistamento dei cetacei e ne è valsa la pena: abbiamo incrociato delle balenottere e una quindicina di delfini atlantici. Poi ci siamo fermati in una caletta per il bagno, con cibo e bevande comprese, buone e abbondanti. Esperanza e Adriana ci hanno trattati benissimo, sempre disponibili.
A brilliant day on the water. Both captains knew this coast inside out and we had long, clear sightings of pilot whales. Our swim stop was in a cove that hardly anyone but locals seems to use, which made it feel special.
Relaxed trip, and we did get our whales. There was a stop at a beach with time to swim, something to eat and drinks that came with the trip. The boat was clean and the seats comfortable.
Wonderful views over the ocean and several pilot whales, one with a calf, with dolphins closer to shore. A swim was on offer, but the water was too cold for me. Good snacks with a choice of drinks, and the crew were good company who made themselves understood even though I speak no Spanish; I hope to repeat it.
Panorami stupendi sull'oceano e diversi globicefali, uno anche con il piccolo, mentre più sotto costa sono comparsi i delfini. Il bagno era previsto, ma l'acqua era troppo fredda per me. Ottimo lo spuntino a bordo, con bevande a scelta, e l'equipaggio è stato una bella compagnia: si sono fatti capire benissimo anche se non parlo spagnolo, e spero di rifarlo.
The two of us picked this crew of women and got it right. From the deck the ocean looks endless, they explained everything as we went, we saw whales and turtles, had a swim and finished with a lunch where nothing was missing to eat or drink. Thanks for a day like that; greetings from Pamplona.
Fuimos en pareja y acertamos de pleno con estas chicas. Desde cubierta se ve el océano inmenso, nos lo explicaron todo, vimos ballenas y tortugas, nos bañamos y terminamos con un almuerzo en el que no faltó de nada para comer ni para beber. Gracias por un día así; un saludo desde Pamplona.
A magical outing, and for once an all-female crew. Thanks to Marta and Esperança for the calm, the wildlife, which we were lucky with, and the good mood on board. The boat is comfortable and takes only twelve people, so I would recommend it without hesitating.
Une sortie magique, avec pour une fois un équipage entièrement féminin. Merci à Marta et Esperança pour la détente, la nature, dont nous avons eu de la chance, et la bonne humeur à bord. Le bateau est confortable et ne prend que douze personnes, je le recommande sans hésiter.
