Full description

BAT4ALL: an accessible boat out of Los Cristianos

The Santa Rita is the only boat we sell that was built around getting a wheelchair on board. It has a hydraulic platform, an accessible toilet and a water wheelchair for assisted entry into the sea when the skipper says the conditions are safe. It takes ten guests, which is what leaves room to move on deck.

It sails from Los Cristianos, and it suits families, mixed-mobility groups and anyone who wants a calmer boarding than a big catamaran gives you.

Tell us before the trip if someone in the group uses a wheelchair or a mobility scooter, so the crew can set up the boarding and the space on deck in advance.

The route

Out of Los Cristianos and along the south coast. Depending on the sea, the skipper passes the Guaza fish farm and the sea caves, and works the open water where dolphins, pilot whales and turtles are seen. There is usually a stop near Las Vistas Bay to swim or snorkel.

Wildlife is never promised. These are wild animals in open water, and no operator can guarantee you a sighting.

Five ways to book it

A three-hour shared trip, priced per person, which is the simplest way on board. Or the whole boat to yourselves: three hours, five hours, a full day of eight, or a two-and-a-half-hour sunset. Private means the ten places are yours.

The shared trip includes soft drinks and a pasta dish. Snorkelling gear comes out whenever swimming is on. On the private charters the crew can arrange fishing or diving extras on request.

Getting there

The boat leaves from the Muelle de Pescadores in Los Cristianos, in the Zona B Excursiones area. There is no hotel pick-up, so plan the journey before you book, and arrive early if anyone needs help boarding.

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before departure. If the skipper calls it off because the sea is unsafe, you move the date or take the money back.

The three-hour shared trip includes soft drinks and a pasta dish. On the private charters the catering changes with the option, so check it before you pay.

My husband is quadriplegic, and getting him aboard with his electric wheelchair was handled with skill and care. Out at sea we spotted dolphins, whales, turtles and even a hammerhead shark, none of which we would have seen otherwise. Fabio and his team looked after us from the first minute.

May 2026

I arranged the private trip as a surprise birthday present for my dad; my parents are in their late seventies and my mum uses a wheelchair. Fabio was in touch throughout and even laid on a cake and candles on board. They came back buzzing, having seen dolphins and pilot whales, a calf among them.

Feb 2026

The welcome we got before setting off put us at ease straight away. It turned out we were the only ones on the trip, and Emiliano and Franco were good company throughout; my wife joked she would happily move onto the boat. Any wheelchair user would manage on it easily.

Fabio is a gem. My brother has muscular dystrophy and felt safe the whole time; the chair and the floats meant he could get in the water without the usual fear of the depth. Dolphins and small whales showed up, food allergies were no problem, and they were ready to sail with just the two of us.

For anyone with a disability this boat is ideal, and you get help with everything. The skipper takes all the time he needs to find dolphins and whales, and we got turtles thrown in as well.

Aug 2025

I was close to tears. The rocky cove was extraordinary, and then came dolphins, whales and turtles, and a swim in the sea to finish. The two men running the boat were kind and funny; go for it, you will not regret it.

Jun 2025

We came away delighted; the people are lovely and we could see the animals perfectly. I would do it again a thousand times over.

Feb 2025

The lads made us very welcome. Dolphins came past briefly and we hunted for a whale without luck, but it hardly mattered: the pasta as the sun dropped rounded it off nicely. My father got the most out of it, since he could come aboard in his wheelchair.
