Tenerife has four main theme parks, and buying tickets in advance lets you skip the ticket queue at the gate. Siam Park is a Thai-themed water park in Costa Adeje, next to Siam Mall, and is regularly voted the world's best water park. The pools and the wave pool are heated to around 24°C all year, and there are slides for all ages. Tickets are open-dated and valid for 6 months, and a free shuttle runs from the main resorts in the south. Beyond standard entry, you can upgrade to a VIP cabin, house, or villa for a private base by the pools.
Loro Parque is an animal park in Puerto de la Cruz, on the north coast. It is known for its orca shows, penguin exhibit, large aquarium, and over 350 parrot species. It is a full day out and works especially well for families. To see both of the big parks, the twin ticket combines Siam Park and Loro Parque for less than two separate tickets.
Aqualand is a water park in Costa Adeje with a dolphinarium. It is smaller and gentler than Siam Park, which makes it a good fit for families with younger children. There is also a combined Aqualand and Jungle Park ticket.
Jungle Park, also known as Las Águilas, is an animal park near Arona in the south. It is known for its birds of prey shows, sea lion displays, and a jungle-style setting.
Where they are. Siam Park, Aqualand, and Jungle Park are all in the south, within easy reach of Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas, and Los Cristianos. Loro Parque is in the north, in Puerto de la Cruz, so allow a full day if you are staying in the south.
Tickets and validity. Siam Park tickets are open-dated and valid for 6 months. The other park tickets are confirmed instantly and sent to your phone.
Best for families. For young children, Aqualand and Loro Parque are the gentlest options. Siam Park has the biggest slides, and Jungle Park is the best for animal shows.
Saving on combinations. If you plan to visit more than one park, the twin ticket and the 2-park ticket cost less than buying each entry separately.
