Pesca a Tenerife a bordo dell'Happy Hooker
L'Happy Hooker è un catamarano da pesca sportiva che opera da Puerto Colón, a Costa Adeje. Lo scafo a catamarano è il punto di forza: due scafi restano molto più stabili di uno scafo singolo delle stesse dimensioni, e in una giornata con un po' di onda è la differenza tra pescare davvero e aggrapparsi al parapetto. La barca è stata restaurata nel 2019 e monta due motori da 315 CV.
Due partenze al giorno
Le uscite partono ogni giorno alle 09:00 e alle 13:30, così la pesca si inserisce nel resto della vostra vacanza invece di occuparla tutta. Potete partecipare a un'uscita condivisa, occupando una delle otto canne disponibili, oppure prenotare l'intera barca in privato per un periodo da quattro a otto ore.
Chi vi accompagna
Il capitano Jamie Hinson pesca su questa costa dagli anni '80 e gestisce la barca come charter dal 2009, affiancato da un marinaio. Quella conoscenza del territorio accumulata nel tempo è ciò che decide dove va la barca una data mattina, ed è qualcosa che nessuna carta nautica può sostituire.

Canne, mulinelli, attrezzatura, esche naturali e artificiali sono forniti, e la licenza di pesca delle Isole Canarie, il carburante e le tasse sono tutti inclusi nel prezzo. Bevande e snack sono a bordo. I pasti non sono inclusi, quindi portate il pranzo per un'uscita più lunga.
Cosa potreste pescare
Il sud di Tenerife ha acque profonde molto vicine alla costa, quindi le specie d'altura sono raggiungibili in poco tempo. Tonno e lampuga durante la metà più calda dell'anno, e il marlin blu compare al culmine dell'estate. Niente è garantito, ed è proprio questo a rendere la pesca ciò che è.

La barca è ormeggiata sul pontile 2 a Puerto Colón. Arrivate almeno 15 minuti prima della partenza, e tenete presente che è disponibile un parcheggio presso il porto.

We are just back from the fishing trip and would go out with Jay, Albert and the Spanish skipper again without thinking twice. A catch is never guaranteed, though the odds are good, and we have just eaten part of what we brought in.
A superb, well-equipped boat and easy to deal with. The crew treated my eleven-year-old son like royalty, and he even landed a tuna. A day we will not forget.

My husband landed a tuna on our honeymoon and was over the moon. I had never fished before and could have used more help, so I would say the boat suits people with some experience; I gave up after the bait fishing and sat out front in the sun. Water, juice and beer were included.
I have been going out with Jamie most years for about a decade, first on my own, then with my eldest. This time we took a private charter so my six-year-old could try sea fishing, and it worked out perfectly: Jamie's son Jay and Christian took us out.
A catch is not certain: some of the time fish came, some of the time they did not. The crew still did everything they could to find them.

A father and son run this boat and they genuinely do their best to make the trip a good one. We brought in several tuna. Worth doing.

The people on board were friendly and helpful and everything ran smoothly. We fished for herring first and then for the bigger ones; we managed to land one and put it back in the sea. Next time we are in Tenerife we will go out with them again.
Die Leute an Bord waren nett und hilfsbereit, und der Ablauf hat reibungslos geklappt. Erst wurde auf Hering geangelt, dann auf die großen Fische; einen haben wir erwischt und wieder ins Meer gesetzt. Beim nächsten Teneriffa-Urlaub fahren wir wieder mit.
