Freebird One bådtur på Tenerife: hval og delfin watching
Freebird One er en katamaran, der sejler langs sydkysten af Tenerife for at se hvaler og delfiner i naturen. Det er en af de mest populære bådture på Tenerife, og den afgår hver dag fra Puerto Colón i Costa Adeje. Du vælger mellem tre turlængder, alle med ubegrænsede drikkevarer og mad om bord samt en flersproget besætning, der peger de marine dyr ud undervejs.
Hvilken tur skal du vælge
Der er tre muligheder. 2-timers turen kører mandag, onsdag og fredag kl. 11:00, med ubegrænsede drikkevarer og badestopp i den lune El Duque Bay (denne tur inkluderer ikke transport). 3-timers morgenturen afgår dagligt kl. 10:00 og kombinerer delfin og hval watching med et badestopp. 4,5-timers eftermiddagsturen afgår dagligt kl. 13:00 og sejler helt ud til klipperne ved Los Gigantes og bugten ved Masca, med frokost inkluderet.
Hvad er inkluderet om bord
Alle ture inkluderer ubegrænsede drikkevarer: vand, sodavand, øl og sangria. Sandwicher serveres, med vegetarisk mulighed på forespørgsel, og eftermiddagsturen tilføjer frokost. Vil du have mere komfort, kan du opgradere til en balinesisk dagsseng kun ved ankomst til båden for 25€ pr. seng, afhængigt af tilgængelighed (den kan ikke reserveres på forhånd). Besætningen er flersproget og fortæller om hvaler, delfiner og det lokale havmiljø undervejs.

Katamaranen afgår fra Dock 10 ved Puerto Colón. Gratis hotelafhentning og -aflevering er inkluderet på 3-timers og 4,5-timers turene fra udvalgte steder i det sydlige Tenerife. Du vælger dit afhentningssted under bookingen. Foretrækker du det, kan du tage direkte til Puerto Colón. Uanset hvad skal du møde op mindst 10 minutter før afgang.

The crossing was lovely, with a swim and whales along the way, but what won us over was the treatment: they made our little one feel as if he were running the ship. Thanks to Luis, Edu and Andre. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Dolphins, whales and turtles all turned up, and we stopped at a beach for a swim. Soft drinks, beer and sangria came with it, and there was music and singing going on the whole way. The staff made it. Recommended if you are visiting.
I had worried about getting on and off the catamaran, and it turned out to be no trouble at all. No seasickness either, though I did take a tablet first. Pilot whales came close by; no dolphins, but nobody had promised those. Good crew, and a trip I would recommend.
We did the Los Gigantes trip as a family and it could not have gone better. As the only Spanish speakers on board, we had Mirella sit with us and relay in our language what she was explaining in the others. The kids loved it, the food was good and the swim in open water was spectacular.

The four of us went out on the boat and it was the best day of the holiday, no contest. The staff were attentive and clearly knew their whales. Roberto and his crew were brilliant with our two, even letting them take the wheel.
A good outing with my boy: a caring crew, an easy mood, a decent swim and pilot whales showing up. Worth knowing: for the sun beds up at the bow, you need to arrange it in advance.

The crew on board were good company and Denny, the captain, is a joker. Along the way we rescued a bird and saw dolphins and a whale. All in all, one to recommend.
Die Crew an Bord war gut drauf, Kapitän Denny ist ein Spaßvogel. Unterwegs haben wir einen Vogel gerettet, dazu Delfine und einen Wal gesehen. Alles in allem empfehlenswert.
My kid took a turn at the wheel and the food was excellent. Pilot whales came by, the cliffs were something else, and the swim was chilly but fine once you were in. Pick a clear, sunny day if you can; the seats are comfortable and the crew looked after us.
