Passeio de barco Freebird One em Tenerife: observação de baleias e golfinhos
O Freebird One é um catamarã que navega pela costa sul de Tenerife para observar baleias e golfinhos em liberdade. É um dos passeios de barco em Tenerife mais populares e parte todos os dias de Puerto Colón, em Costa Adeje. Pode escolher entre três durações, todas com bebidas e comida ilimitadas a bordo e uma tripulação multilingue que vai identificando a vida marinha ao longo do percurso.
Qual passeio escolher
Existem três opções. O passeio de 2 horas realiza-se à segunda, quarta e sexta às 11:00, com bebidas ilimitadas e paragem para nadar na resguardada Baía de El Duque (este passeio não inclui transporte). O passeio de manhã de 3 horas parte diariamente às 10:00 e combina a observação de golfinhos e baleias com uma paragem para nadar. O passeio de tarde de 4,5 horas parte diariamente às 13:00 e chega até às falésias de Los Gigantes e à baía de Masca, com almoço incluído.
O que está incluído a bordo
Todos os passeios incluem bebidas ilimitadas: água, refrigerantes, cerveja e sangria. São servidas sandes, com opção vegetariana mediante pedido, e o passeio de tarde inclui também almoço. Se preferir mais conforto, pode fazer upgrade para uma cama balinesa apenas à chegada ao barco por 25€ por cama, sujeita a disponibilidade (não é possível reservar com antecedência). A tripulação é multilingue e partilha informações sobre as baleias, os golfinhos e o ambiente marinho local durante o percurso.
Partida e como chegar
O catamarã parte do Cais 10 em Puerto Colón. O transporte gratuito de ida e volta ao hotel está incluído nos passeios de 3 e 4,5 horas, a partir de locais selecionados no sul de Tenerife; escolhe o local de recolha durante a reserva. Se preferir, pode ir diretamente a Puerto Colón. De qualquer forma, chegue pelo menos 10 minutos antes da partida.
Reserva e cancelamento
Pode cancelar ou alterar a sua reserva gratuitamente até 48 horas antes do passeio. Se as condições meteorológicas ou do mar não permitirem realizar o passeio em segurança, é oferecida outra data ou reembolso total. Note que o enjoo não é motivo válido para reembolso depois de o passeio ter começado, pelo que deve tomar precauções se necessário. Os bilhetes têm preços a partir de €30.

The crossing was lovely, with a swim and whales along the way, but what won us over was the treatment: they made our little one feel as if he were running the ship. Thanks to Luis, Edu and Andre. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Dolphins, whales and turtles all turned up, and we stopped at a beach for a swim. Soft drinks, beer and sangria came with it, and there was music and singing going on the whole way. The staff made it. Recommended if you are visiting.
I had worried about getting on and off the catamaran, and it turned out to be no trouble at all. No seasickness either, though I did take a tablet first. Pilot whales came close by; no dolphins, but nobody had promised those. Good crew, and a trip I would recommend.
We did the Los Gigantes trip as a family and it could not have gone better. As the only Spanish speakers on board, we had Mirella sit with us and relay in our language what she was explaining in the others. The kids loved it, the food was good and the swim in open water was spectacular.

The four of us went out on the boat and it was the best day of the holiday, no contest. The staff were attentive and clearly knew their whales. Roberto and his crew were brilliant with our two, even letting them take the wheel.

The crew on board were good company and Denny, the captain, is a joker. Along the way we rescued a bird and saw dolphins and a whale. All in all, one to recommend.

My kid took a turn at the wheel and the food was excellent. Pilot whales came by, the cliffs were something else, and the swim was chilly but fine once you were in. Pick a clear, sunny day if you can; the seats are comfortable and the crew looked after us.
