Catamarán Kalima Kat en Tenerife: tours privados y compartidos en barco
El Kalima Kat es un moderno catamarán que realiza chárteres privados y tours compartidos en barco desde el sur de Tenerife. Tiene licencia para hasta 22 pasajeros, algo poco habitual aquí, ya que la mayoría de los barcos privados de la isla tienen un límite de 12. Esto lo convierte en una buena opción para grupos más numerosos que quieren ir juntos. Zarpa desde Puerto Colón, en Costa Adeje, siguiendo la costa sur, con paradas para nadar y hacer snórkel en calas tranquilas. Los avistamientos de ballenas y delfines son habituales en este tramo de costa.
Cómo es la excursión
Puede reservar el barco de forma privada o unirse a un tour compartido de 3 horas a menor precio, que sigue el mismo recorrido. Los chárteres privados duran 3 o 6 horas. La excursión más corta recorre la costa con paradas para nadar, hacer snórkel y tomar el sol. La opción de 6 horas va a un ritmo más tranquilo, visita más calas y permite más tiempo en el agua, ideal para cumpleaños, propuestas de matrimonio, eventos corporativos o un día de descanso. También hay tours al atardecer disponibles.
Qué está incluido
Cada excursión incluye al capitán y la tripulación, seguro de viaje y material de snórkel. La manutención también está incluida, con tres menús a elegir: una selección de entrantes, una paella (marisco, carne o mixta), o una paella vegetariana con ensalada. El grupo elige uno para todo el chárter. Las bebidas a bordo son refrescos, cerveza, vino blanco, cava y agua. Hay aseo a bordo, lo que hace que los chárteres más largos sean más cómodos para grupos numerosos.
Salida y cómo llegar
Los tours salen de Puerto Colón, un puerto céntrico y de fácil acceso en Costa Adeje. Llegue 30 minutos antes de la salida para que el registro se realice sin contratiempos. Las salidas diarias son a las 09:30, 12:30 y 15:30, además de las navegaciones al atardecer. El traslado al hotel no está incluido, por lo que deberá desplazarse al puerto por sus propios medios.
Qué llevar y aspectos a tener en cuenta
Lleve bañador, toalla, gafas de sol, protector solar y un sombrero, y una chaqueta ligera en los meses más frescos. El material de snórkel está incluido. La tripulación se encarga de todo durante el día, así que si surge cualquier imprevisto durante el viaje, puede hablar directamente con ellos.
Reserva y cancelación
Puede reservar en línea y la confirmación es inmediata. Los chárteres privados son totalmente reembolsables con más de 7 días de antelación; los tours compartidos son totalmente reembolsables con más de 3 días de antelación. Pasado ese plazo y en caso de no presentación, no hay reembolso. Si las condiciones no son seguras, el capitán puede reprogramar el tour o ofrecer un reembolso completo. Los viajes interrumpidos a petición del cliente, por ejemplo por mareos, no son reembolsables.

Sixteen of us went out as a family and it turned into one of the high points of the holiday. Captain Maria deserves the credit: welcoming, professional and warm, she kept the whole thing relaxed and made sure every one of us had a day to remember. The rest of the crew were just as good.
The sailing was very pleasant and the skipper treated us wonderfully. There was no shortage of food or drink, which rounded the trip off nicely. I would do it again without thinking.

Maria was great, the boat was great and so was the food. My only wish is that we had been given a little longer in the water; otherwise it was spot on.
They take their time over it and the crew are good company. We had a fine evening, with a beautiful sunset thrown in.

There were four of us, out hoping to see whales: we followed the coast towards the fish farms off Los Cristianos and came across two dolphins and a turtle. Each of us got a plate of chicken paella, tortilla and bread, drinks were unlimited, and the two women looking after us were friendly and spoke French.

Assiette de paella au poulet, tortilla et pain pour chacun, boissons à volonté, et des accompagnatrices sympathiques qui parlaient français.
A great trip with friendly people running it. If you are coming as a big group, this is the sort of thing I would point you towards.
The crew were as kind as they come, made sure nobody was left out and even had us helping to clear rubbish from the sea. A hammerhead came past close enough to see properly, and between the snorkelling and feeding the fish the children were busy the whole time. Good food and drink too.
The captain and crew were funny and knew their subject. We stopped at a small snorkelling spot where you can swim among the fish, and even under cloud it was worth it. The boat is comfortable to sit on and the food deserves a mention of its own.
The crew were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was great. If you are hesitating, it really is worth going. I recommend it.

We took the catamaran out for a stag do and could not have asked for more. The staff were friendly and attentive and kept everything running without a hitch, and the mood on board was excellent all day. Worth considering if you are planning something similar.
A lovely experience and one I would do again without thinking twice. Giorgio and Maria could not have been more available, and what they told us along the way was genuinely useful.

Miguel and Ikel were on board with us, the beer and the food were good, and we came across dolphins, a ray, a turtle and something that turned out to be squid eggs. Swimming and feeding the fish rounded it off, sunburn included. Best boat on the island as far as I am concerned.
A fine outing, with a crew who were kind and willing to help. A few whales and three dolphins showed themselves. Drinks were unlimited and the paella tasted good, if a little short on chicken; otherwise there is nothing to fault.

Friendly, easy-going staff who still know their job: Matteo checked everyone was alright and told us plenty about the animals and the island. Whales and turtles appeared, then we anchored in a pretty little bay for snorkelling and a seafood paella lunch. What makes it, though, is that the boat is clean and never overcrowded.
