We stood at the bow on both crossings and that was the best part of it. The company's people keep an eye on you; the trip feels safe and comfortable, so I would recommend it.

Nos pusimos en la proa en los dos trayectos y fue lo mejor de la travesía. Los chicos de la compañía están muy pendientes de ti; se viaja seguro y a gusto, así que lo recomiendo.

The crossing is short and passes easily, though on the way back the swell was rough enough that you could not stand. What I would change is the waiting area for boarding: it needs some shade.

La travesía es corta y se hace amena, aunque a la vuelta el oleaje no dejaba ni ponerse de pie. Lo que mejoraría es la zona de espera para embarcar: hace falta algo de sombra.

There is not a great deal to see on Lobos, but you can walk all day, out as far as the lighthouse; the path is hard going, though you get Lanzarote in view. Take plenty of water and your swimming things. The bay with the beach is superb, the water completely still, stony at the start and then a dream.

Auf Lobos gibt es nicht viel zu sehen, aber man kann den ganzen Tag wandern, bis zum Leuchtturm hinaus; der Weg ist anstrengend, dafür sieht man Lanzarote. Viel Wasser und Badezeug mitnehmen. Die Bucht mit dem Strand ist großartig, das Wasser ganz ruhig, anfangs steinig und dann ein Traum.

Too much wind on the day we had chosen, so the boat stayed in port and switching to another date gave us no trouble. The crossing rolled about a fair bit, and the sailors gave a hand getting off. The island rewards a walk right round, volcano climb included, and we would go again.

Am geplanten Tag blies zu viel Wind, das Schiff blieb im Hafen, und wir konnten ohne Umstände auf einen anderen Termin wechseln. Die Überfahrt schaukelte ordentlich, beim Aussteigen halfen die Matrosen mit. Die Insel lohnt einen Rundgang samt Aufstieg auf den Vulkan, wir würden wieder mitfahren.

The crossing went fine and both departure and return ran on time. Our slot on the island turned out longer than we needed, though: there is no shade anywhere and the sun is fierce, and I left with burns despite using cream. Carry plenty of water.

Traversée sans souci, départ et retour à l'heure annoncée. En revanche, notre créneau sur l'île s'est révélé trop long : aucune ombre nulle part et un soleil qui cogne, j'en suis reparti avec des brûlures malgré la crème. Emportez beaucoup d'eau.
