Volledige beschrijving
De Isla de Lobos minicruise
Een uur en een kwartier op de Celia Cruz, een catamaran van 20 meter met 16 uitkijkramen onder water langs de romp. De bemanning voert de vissen terwijl je er doorheen kijkt, het moment waarop de scholen opduiken, en daarna ankert de boot bij Isla de Lobos voor ongeveer 30 minuten zodat je kunt snorkelen of zwemmen in het heldere water.
Eén drankje is inbegrepen, en maskers en snorkels zijn aan boord.
De toegangsvergunning
Voor de cruise zelf heb je hem niet nodig, maar als je aan land gaat op Isla de Lobos, ervoor of erna, heb je een officiële vergunning voor het natuurpark nodig. Die is gratis en je vraagt hem zelf aan op lobospass.com.
Drie manieren om het te doen
De cruise zelf loopt altijd van 12:45 tot 14:00. Wat verandert, is wat je eromheen doet.
Neem de veerboot van 9:45 of 11:00, breng de ochtend wandelend door op Lobos, en wees om 12:45 bij de steiger van het eilandje om aan te sluiten bij de cruise. Om 14:00 kun je opnieuw aan land gaan of direct terug naar Corralejo.
Of stap direct om 12:30 in Corralejo aan boord van de cruise, en ga om 14:00 aan land om het eilandje te bezoeken, waarna je terugkeert met een van de geplande veerboten.
Of doe gewoon de cruise en ga terug naar Corralejo zonder aan land te gaan.
De prijs
28 euro voor volwassenen en 18 voor kinderen voor alleen de cruise. Met hotelbus is het 42 euro vanuit Caleta de Fuste, El Cotillo, Origomare en Lajares, of 37 vanuit Corralejo. Baby's betalen alleen als ze een stoel in de bus innemen.
De bus rijdt op vaste dagen afhankelijk van de zone: Caleta de Fuste op dinsdag, donderdag en zondag, El Cotillo, Origomare en Lajares op woensdag, Corralejo op maandag en woensdag.

Snorkelling in water that blue stays with you, and the team were friendly and looking out for us the whole time. One of the good ones.

The scenery out there is remarkable and the boat is comfortable. The snorkelling is enjoyable, though it does not last long. We had a mix-up with our reservation and the staff went out of their way to sort it.

Sorting the island permit gave us no trouble, and at the quay the people were helpful and boarding was quick. Plenty of fun on the water and the time ashore was well spent; nobody is stationed on the island to check you in, but the boat back left punctually. I would travel with them again.
Leaving the port at Corralejo went smoothly, but the sea was rolling hard that particular day. Getting off at Lobos was no easy matter, and without the crew helping it would have been hard work.

A lovely boat, with glass set into the floor and fish drifting past below it. We picked this outing because as well as dropping you at Lobos it takes you snorkelling in striking water and includes a soft drink. The instructors were kind and good company.
El barco es una preciosidad y lleva cristaleras en el suelo por las que iban pasando los peces. Nos decidimos por esta salida porque, además de acercarte a Lobos, incluye un rato de snorkel en aguas impresionantes y un refresco. Los monitores fueron amables y muy agradables.
Comfortable ride over to Lobos, plenty of fun the whole way, and the people running it were good with us from start to finish.
The lads on board were lovely. You get a decent stretch to walk the island on your own, and if you have the snorkelling option they collect you, show you the coast from the water and then hand you a drink that comes with it. Well worth doing.
Los chicos que iban a bordo, muy majos. Te dejan un buen rato para recorrer la isla por tu cuenta y, si vas con el snorkel incluido, te recogen, te enseñan la costa desde el agua y luego te ponen un refresco incluido. Muy recomendable.
