Het Peter Pan piratenschip in Tenerife: walvissen en dolfijnen spotten op zee
Het Peter Pan piratenschip is een traditionele Portugese schoener die vanuit Los Cristianos uitvaart voor walvissen en dolfijnen spotten langs de zuidkust van Tenerife. Het vertrekt drie keer per dag en is geschikt voor gezinnen, vrienden en stellen. Het schip heeft twee badkamers, een overdekte lounge met een grote centrale tafel en een bovendek om in de zon te zitten terwijl u over de Atlantische Oceaan vaart.
Hoe de boottour eruitziet
De standaardtocht duurt 2 uur. U vaart naar een van de beste plekken in de Canarische Eilanden voor wilde dolfijnen en grienden, die het hele jaar in deze wateren leven. Op geselecteerde datums is een langere 3-uurs tour beschikbaar: die vertrekt om 10:00, omvat een zwemstop bij de mariene reservaten Palm-Mar of La Caleta en inclusief lunch. Controleer de boekingskalender voor de datums waarop de 3-uurs versie beschikbaar is.
Eten en drinken aan boord
Op de 2-uurs tour zijn eten en drinken niet inbegrepen, maar wel aan boord te koop. De 3-uurs tour omvat lunch: rijst met groenten, gehaktballen, salade, brood en vers fruit, plus water en frisdranken, met bier en wijn tijdens de maaltijd.
Vertrek en hoe u er komt
Het schip vertrekt vanuit de haven van Los Cristianos, een centraal punt in het zuiden van Tenerife. Gratis ophalen vanuit zuidelijk Tenerife is beschikbaar en u kiest uw ophaallocatie tijdens het boeken. Kom ten minste 30 minuten voor uw vertrektijd aan in de haven zodat het instappen soepel verloopt.
Boeken en annuleren
Afvaarten zijn er dagelijks om 10:00, 12:00 en 14:00 met ruimte voor maximaal 60 personen, dus boek vooraf om uw plek te reserveren. Annuleren is gratis meer dan 48 uur voor vertrek, en de deadline die u ziet bij het boeken is de deadline die telt. Binnen 48 uur of bij niet komen opdagen is er geen terugbetaling. Als de operator annuleert vanwege het weer of andere redenen, ontvangt u een volledige terugbetaling of kunt u opnieuw inplannen.

Only pilot whales came out, but it was still well worth it. The crew, and Isi in particular, were splendid: very kind, and they explained everything we were seeing.

The whole family got something out of it. Dolphins, pilot whales, a hammerhead shark and even a turtle came past, and the crew are lovely, giving the commentary in three languages: Spanish, English and French. Do it without a second thought.

I went with two teenage girls and found it well run from the off. The crew were funny, professional and looked after anyone feeling queasy, and everything was explained in several languages. Whales and dolphins showed up, and there was still a swim stop.

We did see dolphins, but no whales, which were asleep according to the crew. Two orcas came right past the boat, though, and later two turtles, and the pirate theme on board with the matching music made it extra fun. The sea was rough, so you need to be able to handle that.

A very good time at sea with an attentive crew. Chris speaks several languages and passes on his feeling for the ocean and for protecting it. Turtles, dolphins and pilot whales all showed, plus a swim in beautiful water.

The boat is a Portuguese schooner well over a century old, and the crew kept feeding us facts about what we were seeing. Pilot whales, bottlenose dolphins, and then Atlantic spotted dolphins that came to play at the bow. There was a short swim as well.

Three dolphins came right up alongside the boat and that moment alone was worth it; a turtle went past too. The guides are young, funny and clear in what they tell you, and you can see how much they care about their work and about respecting the ocean.
