Obycat-katamaranen, Gran Canaria
Fire timer fra Muelle de Puerto Rico, og båten er innredet for en familiedag heller enn en sightseeingtur: en vannsklie fra baksiden ned i havet, en flytende solplattform ved ankringsstoppet, snorkelutstyr om bord og balinesiske senger å slenge seg på etterpå.
Lunsjen er ordentlig mat: paella, salat, papas arrugadas med mojo og sesongfrukt, med øl, sangria, cava, brus og vann hele veien.
69 euro for voksne og 45 for barn, og hotelltransfer er inkludert i prisen fra det meste av sørdelen av øya.
De fire måtene å seile på
Den delte seilasen går hver dag, formiddag 10:00 til 14:00 eller ettermiddag 14:30 til 18:30. Det er den de fleste booker, og det er familieturen beskrevet ovenfor.
Onsdag ettermiddag er kun for voksne, og operatøren sier regelen rett ut: seksten år og eldre, ingen unntak. Ingens barn er om bord, inkludert dine.
Mandag ettermiddag er den LGTB-vennlige seilasen. Det er en egen avgang i stedet for en merkelapp på familieturen, og du får en velkomstmimosa på vei om bord.
Alle tre er samme båt, samme rute, samme lunsj og samme 69 euro. Den fjerde måten er å ta båten helt utenfor tidsplanen: den private charteren koster fra 2.247 euro for de fire timene, formiddag eller ettermiddag.
Med små barn
Redningsvester finnes helt ned til babystørrelse, og barnevogner er tillatt om bord, noe som ikke gjelder alle båter på denne kysten. Avbestilling er gratis inntil 24 timer før avreise.

We are a family with three young children and the day turned out well. Alberto, the captain, and the crew are friendly and professional, and they kept an eye on the kids as much as on everyone else. For a good morning in the south of Gran Canaria, I would recommend it.
Somos una familia con tres niños pequeños y el día salió estupendo. Alberto, el capitán, y la tripulación son amables y profesionales, y estuvieron pendientes tanto de los críos como del resto del pasaje. Para pasar una buena mañana en el sur de Gran Canaria, lo recomiendo.
The mood on board was good straight away. It also helped that the pick-up and drop-off were part of the excursion; that made the day a good deal more relaxed. Not long after we set off, a group of dolphins came past.

No complaints from me. They talked us through the history of the coast we were passing, there was a break long enough to get in the water, and the food afterwards was superb. Good choice if you want a relaxed morning or afternoon; I would go again.
The shuttle across was where my little holiday-within-a-holiday started, and it stayed that way. Spotless catamaran, attentive and friendly crew, very good food and drink, and a trip that is relaxing and fun at the same time. Swimming and the slide were the parts I enjoyed most.
I have seen few boats kept as well or as clean as this one; the care shows in every detail. The crew are professional and kind, always watching that nothing slips, and from the first minute they make you feel welcome. A trip worth repeating.

The pick-up was on the dot. There were only a few of us on board, almost like a small private party, and the crew looked after every guest attentively. We will be coming back.
Abgeholt wurden wir auf die Minute genau. An Bord waren nur wenige Leute, fast wie im kleinen Kreis, und die Crew kümmerte sich aufmerksam um jeden Gast. Wir kommen wieder.
The crew are good fun and look after everyone on board, the seats and sunbeds are comfortable and there is no shortage of them, and the food and drink were nice. If you want a day on the water, a view of the coast and, with a bit of luck, dolphins, pick this one.
We picked this one because the group is small, ten of us in the end, and the catamaran is spectacular. The crew were attentive and professional and treated us like celebrities, the paella was delicious and you could drink whatever you liked. Well worth it, and thank you for a wonderful day.
An excursion to remember. The catamaran is huge, new and spotless, and there is no crew like them around here. We anchored off a beach well away from the other boats, the paella was very good, and I would recommend it to anyone.
Salida para no olvidar. El catamarán es enorme, nuevo y está impecable, y la tripulación no tiene comparación por esta zona. Fondeamos en una playa alejada del resto de barcos, la paella estaba muy buena y lo recomendaría a cualquiera.
