Le catamaran Obycat, Gran Canaria
Quatre heures au départ du Muelle de Puerto Rico, et le bateau est pensé pour une journée en famille plutôt qu'une simple sortie d'observation : un toboggan aquatique à l'arrière vers la mer, une plateforme solarium flottante à l'escale de mouillage, l'équipement de snorkeling à bord et des lits balinais où se laisser tomber ensuite.
Le déjeuner est un vrai repas : paella, salade, papas arrugadas au mojo et fruits de saison, avec bière, sangria, cava, boissons gazeuses et eau à volonté tout au long.
69 euros pour les adultes et 45 pour les enfants, et le transfert depuis l'hôtel est inclus dans le prix depuis la majeure partie du sud de l'île.
Les quatre façons de naviguer
La sortie partagée a lieu tous les jours, le matin de 10h00 à 14h00 ou l'après-midi de 14h30 à 18h30. C'est celle que la plupart des gens réservent, et c'est la sortie en famille décrite plus haut.
Le mercredi après-midi est réservé aux adultes, et l'opérateur énonce la règle clairement : seize ans et plus, sans exception. Les enfants de personne ne sont à bord, y compris les vôtres.
Le lundi après-midi est la sortie LGTB Friendly. C'est un départ à part entière plutôt qu'une étiquette collée sur la sortie familiale, et vous recevez un mimosa de bienvenue en montant à bord.
Les trois sont le même bateau, le même trajet, le même déjeuner et les mêmes 69 euros. La quatrième façon consiste à sortir le bateau du planning : la location privée est à partir de 2.247 euros pour les quatre heures, le matin ou l'après-midi.
Avec de jeunes enfants
Les gilets de sauvetage existent jusqu'à la taille bébé et les poussettes sont acceptées à bord, ce qui n'est pas le cas de tous les bateaux sur cette côte. L'annulation est gratuite jusqu'à 24 heures avant le départ.

We are a family with three young children and the day turned out well. Alberto, the captain, and the crew are friendly and professional, and they kept an eye on the kids as much as on everyone else. For a good morning in the south of Gran Canaria, I would recommend it.

The mood on board was good straight away. It also helped that the pick-up and drop-off were part of the excursion; that made the day a good deal more relaxed. Not long after we set off, a group of dolphins came past.

No complaints from me. They talked us through the history of the coast we were passing, there was a break long enough to get in the water, and the food afterwards was superb. Good choice if you want a relaxed morning or afternoon; I would go again.
The shuttle across was where my little holiday-within-a-holiday started, and it stayed that way. Spotless catamaran, attentive and friendly crew, very good food and drink, and a trip that is relaxing and fun at the same time. Swimming and the slide were the parts I enjoyed most.
I have seen few boats kept as well or as clean as this one; the care shows in every detail. The crew are professional and kind, always watching that nothing slips, and from the first minute they make you feel welcome. A trip worth repeating.

The pick-up was on the dot. There were only a few of us on board, almost like a small private party, and the crew looked after every guest attentively. We will be coming back.
Abgeholt wurden wir auf die Minute genau. An Bord waren nur wenige Leute, fast wie im kleinen Kreis, und die Crew kümmerte sich aufmerksam um jeden Gast. Wir kommen wieder.
The crew are good fun and look after everyone on board, the seats and sunbeds are comfortable and there is no shortage of them, and the food and drink were nice. If you want a day on the water, a view of the coast and, with a bit of luck, dolphins, pick this one.
We picked this one because the group is small, ten of us in the end, and the catamaran is spectacular. The crew were attentive and professional and treated us like celebrities, the paella was delicious and you could drink whatever you liked. Well worth it, and thank you for a wonderful day.
An excursion to remember. The catamaran is huge, new and spotless, and there is no crew like them around here. We anchored off a beach well away from the other boats, the paella was very good, and I would recommend it to anyone.
Salida para no olvidar. El catamarán es enorme, nuevo y está impecable, y la tripulación no tiene comparación por esta zona. Fondeamos en una playa alejada del resto de barcos, la paella estaba muy buena y lo recomendaría a cualquiera.
