We remember it fondly. The skipper made sure we got to see dolphins and a whole pod of whales, and along the way we chased flying fish.

Świetnie to wspominamy. Sternik zadbał o to, żebyśmy zobaczyli delfiny i całe stado waleni, a po drodze goniliśmy latające ryby.

Seeing pilot whales and dolphins was the part of the trip I cared most about, and I was worried about ending up on a big, noisy boat, or with a skipper who turned it all into a show. That was not the case: the outing is short but there is plenty in it, and the animals were never crowded.

Ver calderones y delfines era lo que más me interesaba del viaje, y me daba miedo acabar en un barco grande y ruidoso, o con un patrón que convirtiera todo en un espectáculo. No fue el caso: la salida es breve pero da para mucho, y en ningún momento se invadió a los animales.

From the shore the water looked flat, but just outside the harbour at Los Gigantes the boat was leaping over the swell and we loved it. Further out Luca eased off until we were sitting still, with dozens of striped dolphins jumping around us, cutting under the hull and riding the waves.

Dalla riva l'oceano sembrava una tavola, ma appena usciti dal porto di Los Gigantes il gommone saltava sulle onde e ci siamo divertiti. Più al largo Luca ha rallentato fino a fermarsi: intorno a noi decine di stenelle saltavano, passavano sotto lo scafo e giocavano con le onde.

We came back after a great first morning on an earlier holiday, and it was worth doing again: pilot whales and shearwaters. Kevin talked us through everything as he sailed and made us feel part of it. If we return to the island, there will be a third time.

Repetimos después de una primera mañana estupenda en unas vacaciones anteriores, y volvió a merecer la pena: vimos calderones y pardelas. Kevin nos fue explicando todo mientras navegaba y nos hizo sentir parte de la actividad. Si volvemos a la isla, habrá tercera vez.

A magical outing with Luca: dolphins, pilot whales, and then the Los Gigantes cliffs seen from the water. He gave us an eyeful while keeping everything safe, and we came away with a lovely family memory.

Sortie magique avec Luca : des dauphins, des globicéphales, et ensuite les falaises de Los Gigantes vues depuis le bateau. Il nous en a mis plein les yeux tout en restant prudent, et on en garde un super souvenir en famille.

The best boat trip we have been on. Seeing pilot whales and the high mountains at Los Gigantes from close up was impressive, and the captain really knew his subject. Recommended.

Den bästa båtturen vi gjort. Grindvalarna och de höga bergen vid Los Gigantes på nära håll var mäktigt, och kaptenen kunde verkligen sitt område. Rekommenderas.

We got lucky and saw pilot whales as well as dolphins. The crew is very considerate towards the animals; it does not feel like a show, it feels like nature.

Wir hatten Glück und bekamen Grindwale und Delfine zu sehen. Die Crew geht sehr rücksichtsvoll mit den Tieren um; das wirkt nicht wie eine Vorführung, sondern wie Natur.

The marine animals were easy to see and it was a lovely experience. One drawback: there were a lot of boats in the same spot at once. The shape of it was a run out to the animals, a good while watching them, then another spot for a swim before heading back.

Nous avons bien vu les animaux marins, c'était une chouette expérience. Seul bémol : il y avait beaucoup de bateaux au même endroit en même temps. Le déroulé : navigation jusqu'aux animaux, un bon moment à les observer, puis un autre spot pour se baigner avant le retour.
